You can apply online to get a digital or physical Railcard.
Simply complete the form here.
But before you do, make sure you have the following ready:
- Your device with the Railcard App installed if you want to get a digital Railcard
- A passport-style photo of you saved on your computer or device if you are getting a digital Railcard
- Your home address
- A valid email address
- A valid debit or credit card
If you are applying for a digital Railcard
Once you have completed the form, you should receive an email with a digital Railcard download code.
Open your Railcard App, tap the '+' button on the top left of the screen and enter the digital Railcard download code.
Done! Happy Travels!
But wait...I haven't received my digital Railcard download code!
If our email doesn't land straight to your email inbox, it's worth checking your Junk folder. If it's still not there, you will need to log back into your account either on your desktop or your phone and follow the links to request a new code.
OK I have the code, but it isn't working.
This can come down to 2 things:
- As the code is time-sensitive, it may have expired.
Make sure when you're signing up for your Railcard you're in a position to activate it right away.
- Your Railcard has been activated on a maximum of 2 devices.
You will need to log into your Railcard account>Manage your Devices and select the device from which you want to remove your Railcard. You should then be able to add your Railcard to another device.
If you're ordering online and want a physical Railcard, please allow up to 10 days for it to reach you.
You'll need to have your Railcard with you to receive the discounts that come with it, so be sure to leave enough time before your journey for the Railcard to get to you.
